I was receiving calls from this number in the past. They say a long message.."Please don't hang up. This is not a sales call. It's about private financial matter." Then it leaves an 800 number and case number to reference.

I was earlier wondering if this is from a collection agency. As far as I know, none of my accounts have reached that far. When I call them back, it gives a "disconnected" tone

Yep, they're a collection agency. Their automation was bugging my dad about someone who FORMERLY had the same phone number! (Too much trouble to Google or WhoWhere, I guess....)

Debt collector recording that did not provide even a name of who they are looking for. I reported them to the FTC and then called and left a nasty curse out message for them to remove my phone number out of their database.
