Sent letters, CM-RRR of course, to both.
Professional? Affiliates sent photocopies of paper work, but failed to provide any other requested information. Sent letter back, stating that what they sent was NOT acceptable and that they were to validate the account in question, by providing me specific information. Including their right to collect in Colorado(Denver office!), License numbers etc.....They have not bothered to contact me since then.
CMC of Racine Wi, sent letter, offering a settlement.
I again sent a letter, CM-RRR, requesting validation of debt in question. NEVER heard back from them. A month or two later, I get a letter from a William Binetti, attorney at law?? of Racine Wi. Attempting to collect on same account as CMC.
Sent this office a letter, stating their actions were illegal, as previous holder of account failed to send proper validation!! And that I had paperwork to prove it. Have not heard back from this office either!
Oh yes, I have the letters they sent, PLUS copies of the letters I sent, PLUS the signed green return card and date stamped CM slip as well, to prove I contacted them, if I have to!

Have you checked the latest copy of your credit report to confirm if these agencies are reporting anything negatively in your file? If they have hit something, it must have a legitimate purpose and the debt should have been easily validated. If they can't give you the required information and have hit your file, it is a fraudulent action. You will have a legal case and press charges for each FDCPA violation.

I know what you mean Kcchan-I sent DV letters to three different companies with LVNV,and haven't heard back,it's been about 3 months.'Course in the last follow up letter to them,I mentioned to them that they had broken several fdcpa reg.,talking and giving my name to a third party,continuing to contacting me before the DV and during,etc.,so maybe that's why they haven't responed :D ...Karen
