Can anyone," please tell me", what can, has, or will, the State of Alabama do, to help custodial parents, (and subsequently, our young adult children), who suffer daily from the ever increasing problem of parental identity theft?
Why should our children suffer, simply because of an absent parent's greed?
If someone stole a mere dollar from our pockets, we would look for retribution! "We", would require compensation!
Yet today, our children must suffer silently, (often, not even being able to acquire the crudest forms of modern convenience, on their own, which we ourselves take for granted).
There are thousands of our children and young people today, who cannot even acquire a bank account, simply because their, "absent parent", has seen fit, (at some point), to open, and, overdraw an account, taken out "in their children's name"!
Therefore, these children, (the future generation of our great nation), must hold their heads down, in humiliation, never knowing whether they can become a beneficial part of society, or not! Constantly fearing the humiliation of even trying to cash a payroll check, (for fear there might be some bad check floating around out there, with their in their name on it).
This problem is not new! However, it is now beginning to affect us in epidemic proportions!
An overwhelming majority of the divorced parents I have met with, and have spoken to, have experienced many similiar problems!
Sadly,the masterminds behind all these thefts are the victim's own flesh and blood, the same people who are never able to make their child support payments, have no time to spend with their own children, are never able to findwork, and who are always looking for that," easy break", (some quick way to make money, and become monitarily endowed)! Still, it is theft, pure and simple, and to my way of thinking, it is one of the worst kinds of theft, because it is perpertrated against the most innocent, and the most trusting people of all, their own children!
