Hey guys,
I'm thinking of participating in a Clinical Research Study for "up to" $3000...and I don't know much about them...if they're safe, legit, or what.

I've been to the government's website, www.clinicaltrials.gov FDA's website, and the CDC website, which all have great info and assure they are safe, and they offer A LOT in my area (Austin, TX) and there is one that sounds interesting to me...BUT...

If there is anyone here who has had personal experience, or has heard 2nd hand from someone close to them about this, I'd be very interested...

Please let me know about any info you have! Thanks! :)

You can go ahead if they are trusted by the government. Besides, you will have everything in writing which can be used later in case there are some disputes. Personally, I don't have much information to help you but someone will surely come here with the suggestions.

PS: you got a very cute avatar. :)

I was involved in clinical trial couple years ago for the drug wellabuton (sp). I would meet with medical people each week, found it very interesting and at the end of trial received check for 500.00. Next Monday am also possible candidate for pre-diabetis trial and will have the initial testing. Will let you know how this comes out...if I am eligible or not. If not....will get free medical test and check for 100.00. I am very trusting of clinical trials...but do check who is sponsoring the trials.

thanks! This company that does it in Austin has been in business for 23 years. So, I do trust them. This one pays up to $3000. In your experience, did they say $500, and so you got paid $500? Or do they say "up to" because if you drop out of the study early, you won't get the full amount, but if you stay till the end, you will get the full amount? Just curious.
