What if a person files a Chapter 13 after an arbitration judgement award ....would this be covered under the bankruptcy?

I had a credit card company get an arbitration award on me and I don't have the money. I'm trying to see if i can make payment arrangements

but would a chapter 13 take care of this for me (the payment arrangement) because this debt is in my name only and our house is joint, under my name and my husbands and deeded correctly.

Hi! Yes, a previous judgement can be included in a Ch 13. This happened to me from a credit card company and I was paying a monthly installment to their lawyers. My lawyer just filed my bankruptcy plan last month and it was included. According to the bankruptcy code, all debts must be included in your filed Plan. I strongly suggest that you meet with a bankruptcy lawyer to discuss your particular situation. Personally, it was such a relief to speak to a lawyer. Good luck!
