Free of payday loans

I think the regular posters in this forum are in different stages of the PDL nightmare. There are several people who have actually completed paying them all off and will no doubt respond to you question.

I am a survivor!! I settled my last loan in April, and have lived happily ever after since.

It was an ugly battle. I thought some times it would never end. I can't even go into how I felt..It was the blackest time of my life. But it's over now, and things are great, I am honestly happy again and can live like a human.

But..I have my scars. Even though everything is finished, and I have proof that everything is finished, I am still terrified frequently that I'll go to the bank and find out that one of my old PDLs got my new account info and stole from me...When I see an unknown number on caller id I get scared...I hope with time that paranoia will go away.

So it can be done...And I'm not the only one, either..Others will chime in soon!

I also have survived the payday loan nightmare. It was a long rough road, but with the help of my friends on this site and defeating the pdl's at their own game, I am officially free of them. I have all the letters in a safe place. There are times when unknown name unknown caller appears and I still get a sick feeling, but I know it will go away with time.

oh wow, Tammy, I thought I was the only one still afraid of phone calls sometimes...It's nice to know I'm normal.

Did you see the forum signature of the other member (dcashwell3)? It can be imagined how happy she is to come out of the payday loan mess. Great achievement by you guys, too!

I saw Dana's signature too..That's awesome!! I know how incredibly happy she must be, and I'm really proud of her...That's a really big deal!
