I continuiously received a call from # 904-483-3372 but never left a voicemail. I see from the forum that this number is based in Jacksonville (Collection Agency) After the many phone calls, I just recieved an email from MoneyByNow subjected: Loan Collection Letter (not sure if this has anything to do with the 904 number -- but -- body of email: "We have been trying to reach you in regards to your past due balance with Moneybynow. Please contact us immediately at 1-888-355-6145! We would like to avoid further legal action against you and make every possible effort to resolve this situation."

Called the number it just rings and no voicemail option. when I went to the website moneybynow.com - the contact address is "Zenque Funding Newark, DE 19711" So I reply back to the email stating that I need the physical address to send a debt validation letter and received an address of "1635 E Baseline Rd. Suite 104. Phoenix, Az 8542."

Can you tell me does this whole story seem shady? Has anyone dealt with this company before? Is this a legit company. They never gave me an account number to reference or anything. If anyone has any info that would be much appreciated.

I did take out pay day loans but has already been paid off. Not sure what's going on. Help pls!!!

If you are sure that the payday loan account has been paid off, then there is nothing to worry about. The company might have had wrong information about you if they can't put the account in writing.

Under the federal laws, the CA must validate the debt in writing giving out the complete information obtained from the loan company. This will ensure that their collection attempt is genuine if you have forgotten about this account. Don't pay anything until they put it in paper.
