I dont know what to do! I'm 21 years old, and have been faced with extreme financial hardship within the last three months. Therefore I wasn't able to pay even the minimum payments. I made very small payments to all of them last month. I have four credit cards out right now. One of the minimum payments is $120. I don't want to file bankruptcy, and I shouldn't. I just can't get caught up. Anyone have any advice?? I just can't stand these phone calls anymore! And these people are rude and barely speak english!

kelli4600,
Welcome to the website, since joining I have found so much information and received so much support from the other members. Now that you are signed up a counselor will be contacting you to discuss your financial situation and the options you have. It's good that you are wanting to get control of your situation before things get even worse. The fact that you made even some effort to pay on them should show your credit card companies that you are trying. Just know that you are not alone and we are here for you. Good luck and I hope it all works out for you.

kelli4600, like both posters said above, you will get some good advice from the counselor and he will assist you in framing your repayment options.

This means that your account is still current with your creditors. Did they cause any problems in accepting your small payment? If they are willing to work with you, you can continue in the same way or involve a counselor to do better negotiations. He will talk with the credit companies keeping your financial situation in mind.
