I am being suied by Asset Acceptance for a Bally's debt from 7 years ago. I was wondering if anyone has gone through this and won the case. Bally's used to practice illegal sales tactics which I was a victim of. Anyone know anything?

There is a deep relation between Asset Acceptance and Bally's account. I feel by now that Bally's account is found disputed by many people. Even though, you might have canceled the membership with Bally, the charges will come back sometime later and its Asset Acceptance collecting on it.

Another thing common to most people is that these accounts happened long time back. In your case, it is 7 years ago. By this time, the debt should be removed from your credit file. If you have not done any payment in the recent times, you can use the FCRA laws and get the remark removed from your credit.
