In Honor Of Our Military

I,too, would like to say a big Thanks to all of you. You all are in my prayers, as well as your families. I have had members of my family serve since WWI.


Too many times I forget that all the freedon I have here is beacuse of the ones who have, or are serving now

All of our vets and active members are in my thoughts and prayers as well..

I'm ashamed to say that this is not something I think about enough. My son's school had an assembly on Thursday for Veteran's day, and it moved me to tears.

There are not enough words to say how grateful i am to all our soldiers!

2nd, what a beautiful post! There are not enough words to express our gratitude. My father and grandfather was in the military,and now because of my father's sacrifice for his country and family and friends he suffers from PTSD and is 100% totally and permanently disabled. I've learned that our veterans' and current members' sacrifices do not end in battle, they carry with them emotional and physical scars for the rest of their lives. It is moving that people here not only support each other but can reach out their gratitude to people we've never met. Thank you so much for this post and the opportunity to show our thanks to our men and women who are fighting to protect us. God bless all of you, not only the ones serving, but those who are here at home missing their loved ones and raising babies :)

As a member of the American Legion Auxiliary and being a widow of a man who served in VietNam..please take time on Veteran's Day to thank all our troops all over the world and say a prayer for our veterans
here and those that will be coming home. They deserve our gratitude and support. Thank-you!

My dad was in Vietnam and was injured there. He also was in Korea, Thialand and I am not sure where all else. I also had an uncle that was in Vietnam also. What was sad is these guys did not get the respect or homecoming they so deserved! For those that were there, I salute them!

May God bless our men and women of the military and lets all keep our prayers with them.

My father was in Korea ( he is still alive and kicking..LOL) and ( some of you know) I serve in the Army Reserves. With Active Army and Army Reserves, I've served 12 years. Sometimes it's not easy...but, VERY well worth it. Thank you for those who support 'us'.

MY father was a Navy man aboard ship during WW2...as were 3 of my uncles also...1 in each of the forces Army, Marines, Navy, AirForce. I lost a very close friend to Nam...and will never forget the pain of that..I salute all who ever serve both here and away...without you...where would we be???

2nband, I second that...this is a beautiful post. I also would like to express my gratitude to all the service men, women and their families for their sacrafices. I am proud to be an Army wife and Airforce mom.

All brances of the America Military are truely wonderful. I've had family members in every branch of the service. You have to respect those that spend every days of their lives protecting our freedoms and liberties.

Thanks to all past and present who have put their lives on the line for all of us. My prayers will be out there on Veteran's Day. God love everyone.

My father & uncle both served. Dad in the Air Force & uncle in the Army. My dad didn't go to Vietnam, but my uncle did. Dad was getting out of the Air Force and had 2 weeks left when they called the troop-so they let him out 2 weeks early. I think on one hand he was happy not to go but then again he wanted to serve his country during war time.

My great uncle Tommy was in the Air Force, Uncle Teddy & Karl were Army. My grandfather Joseph was killed in WWII-he was an air gunner...he was killed when my mom was only 2 years old.

So to everyone who served, lost loved ones, or is in the service now, my heart & thanks go out to you for making this a great safe country.

I know this may sound 'morbid', but, sometimes I wonder why I wasn't killed in Iraq when SOOOOOO many 'young kids' were. Or, why my dad wasn't killed in Korea, when SOO many were. I always say, " there's a reason for everything." Sometimes.....it's a bit scary, when you just don't know what that reason is. Thank you, again, for 'your' support of the military.

I am also as an American so grateful to all serving in military--and have recently attended 2 funerals of young soldiers who died in Iraq (1 male and 1 female)--I just pray to God that we can bring our children home as soon as possible and that we won't bomb Iran and get into another never ending war--and I just read an article yesterday about the huge percent of our veteran's here in America that are currently homeless! wow! doesn't make sense! I thank you all who have laid your life on the line for me and my family and my country--and I pray for your safe return home! On this Veteran's Day and everyday! :)

Our Veterans will Never Forget what they have done for Our country ..............................And neither will We !! :)

Being third generation military myself,I will never forget what all of our current and past members of the armed forces are doing for our benefit and our nation's benefit.

It's a special day for me as well. My ancestors fought in every conflict from colonial times (except Iran and the Gulf War).

Thank any military you see ( past and present). Honor them with respect.
