Start contacting the creditors listed in your file. Request them for an itemized statement of your accounts so that you can fix up your payment plans. Check the SOL of each account before you make any commitment to your creditors. If you have not paid them within the SOL period of your state, you won't be under any legal obligation to pay those accounts. But they will be reported in your file for a period of seven years starting from the date of first delinquency.
Do everything in writing so that you have a proof of your dealings. Send your mails certified with return receipt requested. I will recommend talking to a counselor so that he can guide you in the right direction.
