i signed up on here (after nosing around a bit :D ) and got notice from superiordebt.com - we don't want to go the settlement route, we were looking mostly to get our ridiculous interest rates reduced. are we looking at this the wrong way?

Hi penster, welcome to debt consolidation Care Community :D

The company you have mentioned is a reputed one and holding much goodwill in the industry. You can go with them.

It's true there are certain differences between debt settlement8 and Debt consolidation1 program. debt settlement could be the best route for a person with some specific debt situation whereas another person might benefit most from consolidation program.

As per my understanding you should ask your counselor to help you get the account reported as paid as agreed on the completion of the program. That can give you a better credit rating.

P. S. Also check your PM; I am going to send you some information.
