Anyone else leave a consolidation program?

After some internal debate I had to cancel the contract with T&C. A creditor I included with them called me about not receiving payment, and when I finally got someone to give me info I found that T&C hadn't received a money order I mailed. I asked why someone didn't let me know, since it caused a chain reaction of no payments to creditors AND my account was listed as "delinquent" through no fault of my own, I was told they are a self-help program only and can't follow up behind people. On top of some other issues I've had with things there, I felt it was best to just cancel. I will have to work out arrangements with the creditors myself.
Other news- I haven't received call backs from any of the law offices I contacted about a class action suit against Rio and aliases. I'm not dropping it, I'll keep calling around until I find someone willing to represent those interested. I don't want anyone here to think I had forgotten, because I haven't. I wish I had more answers, a name, something concrete, but I will keep pushing on.
The company I want to file a claim against personally is being a super pain. Luckily I'm not the only one that becomes suspicious that they know they are wrong and are possibly trying to delay so I'll drop it. Nope, when it comes to money I'll keep fighting until I get a sense of satisfaction lol.
Hi set4sail, I left T &C and went with a debt settlement comp
Hi set4sail,
I left T &C and went with a debt settlement company. I was having better luck with dealing with the pdl companies on my own, most zeroed out my balances. A few I am still fighting with but those will work out one way or the other. I had some of the same issues that you did with money orders and such. I don't know if it was a mail problem or what. Now my payments are deducted out my checking account each month and I don't have to worry about it. Keep us updated on your progress. :)
Dana, did you trace the money order to see if it had been cashed
Dana, did you trace the money order to see if it had been cashed yet? I think there's a way to do that. I'm sorry to hear about your troubles but I'm glad to hear that you are going to handle it on your own, I think we all have more confidence about handling things ourselves now. I hope that you are still around to share your past and future experiences with us.
