I have a quick question.. all the Credit Cards that are closed on my report..will they remain there forever?? Can I get them off?
Also can GAP open two accounts under 1 SS## ..

Is closing accounts bad for you credit score..How does this all work

Positive accounts will remain for 10 years after they are closed. As far as I understand, closing accounts can hurt your credit score, because one of the factors that raises your score is the average age of your accounts. If you close accounts, your average age will not go up at all. It is better to just "sockdrawer" the accounts - throw them in your sockdrawer and let them get old :) Use them once in a while to buy a soda and pay in full.

As far as the GAP question, I am not sure. I don't think they can do that, but I am pretty sure you can have an authorized user on the account. Hope I have helped a bit!
