We have gotten several messages on our machine over the past couple weeks, all left by the same guy (very distinctive voice), but he's left three different names. Can he do this? He's obviously reading from a script, but he's said "This is Jim XXXX calling....." or "This is Derek XXXX calling" or "This is Andrew XXXX calling".

It seems shady to me to keep leaving different names!

Any input?

Thanks!

I have had the same calls recently. I never thought about it, but it DOES sound like the same guy! He rarely leaves a last name, and when he does, he kind of mumbles it, and I can't make it out...

I think it's United legal because they called me once, I didn't know who it was, and someone on here told me that was their number, so I saved it on my cell phone under their name, and that same number keeps calling.

Jenna, don't let any company report in your credit file without legitimate reasons. Negative reporting hurt the credit scores severely. Monitor your credit file often and if you find any incorrect item, dispute it with the bureaus. They will get the item rectified and update your file. Your future lenders should get the accurate picture of your credit history.
