I called him to tell him I could not afford the collateral. He than said If I could come up with a $1,000.00 he could give me the following

Lynndi
I believe you have not given out your bank information to the company as they are asking for the payment through money gram only. Now, shop for some other companies and compare their prices. If it suits to your pocket and have the contract in writing, you can accept the offer.
I will check about the company's domain if they are inter-linked. Keep in touch.
I have a contract If you would like to I could e-mail that to yo

hmm.. be cautious because the company has your ssn#. It is the most important number confirming your identity. Monitor your file thoroughly before anyone tries to misuse it.

I am going to see a lawyer tomorrow would he be able to tell if it is a scam or not?
It's a scam
You'll find them on ripoffreport.com.
If they want YOU to pay THEM for the loan, it's ALWAYS A SCAM. They'll rip you off and call say it wasn't collateral, it was an application fee for a loan, and oh, too bad, your loan was denied and the fee is non-refundable. They are just trying to rip you off.
U.S. Postal contacted me
they got me for $1100 for a 5500 dollar loan. they said that they never received it, when i had spoken to this guy named John Kirstoff
