I just came home to a collections letter from Debt Doctor saying I owe $1659.00. I borrowed $200.00 from them!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I closed my bank account 2 weeks ago and I am currently with T&C for consolidation. They got one returned item to them in the amount of $60.00. How does my total come to $1659.00??????? They are freaking nuts! I am writing this collections company a letter and tell them they are getting the $200.00 plus the finance charge of $60.00 and that's it! Any suggestions from anyone experiencing something similar?

Yes it has..the name of the company is Accounts Receivable Technologies. The funny thing is that I even contacted Debt Doctor telling them I am with T & C!

Maybe, Debt Doctor has not pulled your file back from ART. T&C is working out arrangements with Debt Doctor and ART is not aware about the latest actions. Get in touch with the lending company and explain the situation. They will ask ART to stop contacting you. You can also take the help of your consultant in this regard.

Well I just wrote the collection agency a "nice" letter, as nice as I could be and told them I borrowed only $200.00 from Debt Doctor and that plus my finance charge is all they are getting back. I have the phone number to debt doctor and I am leaving them a message (b/c they are on vacation) and telling them that if they want their measley $260.00, i will pay it just to get this off my back. But I am not paying 8 times the amount!

Also, I forgot to add that they had AR Tech try to collect and when I sent them a debt validation letter, they sent it back. Then United Legal got the account and called and did their famous speel and I hit them with a debt validation. All I got from them was to pay the debt to them only by Western Union or Money Gram. As I stated above, T&C tried to pay them and the payments were returned for address unknown.

Since this has been placed with a CA, I would contact your counselor at T & C and let them know about the situation as well. I had one loan go to a CA and T &C made arrangments with them, and I had made better arrangements with the CA after I kept getting letters from them. They were able to knock off the outrageous fees the orginal creditor kept putting on the account. Also, send the CA a debt validation request per the fdcpa laws. I would send it certified mail with return receipt requested. This way you will have proof that they received the letter. They must also validate the debt before any further collection activity can continue on the account. It amazes me that they have added $1400 onto the debt, it seems ridiculous to me. I have never dealt with Debt Doctor myself so I am not familiar with their tactics but you have to keep a close eye on your accounts listed with T & C.

As the case may be the most compelling sunless tanning products I've heard about are lotions and sprays containing dihydroxyacetone (DHA) as the active ingredient.

Apparently the sugar interacts with the dead skin cells, a color substitution occurs. This change usually lasts about five to seven days from the initial application.

I'm honestly wondering if anyone can point me in the right direction as to the finest and cheapest option that's known to work. I really don't need to end up all Orange.
