Okay, I'll test y'all.

How can I get rid of unauthorized credit inquiries? They are draggin' my score way down!!!

What type of inquiries do you have? Some inquiries made by businesses for offering goods or services, or inquiries by companies with whom you have a credit account do not count towards the FICO scores. Inquiries made by prospective employers also do not affect the scoring module. It will be shown in your credit file but does not count towards the FICO scores. Inquiries put by collection agencies hurt the most. Make sure that your report does not show incorrect entries in your file.

What number did you reach someone at the 3 credit reporting agencies? I have had luck on line disputes but not over the phone.

The bad thing with online dispute you dont have any record to prove, i think the best thing is to dispute with the bureaus. mail the letters certifed.

sample letter below.

SSN:

The bureau name
Address

Date x/x/xxxx

DEAR SIRS/To Whom it May Concern:

I recently pulled a copy of my credit report and noticed the following information are in error:

Inquires
The FCRA states that the only permissible purpose for pulling someone's credit report is a) firm offer of credit b) insurance c) employment or d) a court order.

The following inquiries are related to none of the aforementioned permissible purposes.
1. MBNA
2. Tri-City Credit
3. Factual Data CO.
4. FDC
5. Chase Credit CO.

Please remove these inquiries from my credit report. I have enclosed a copy of my driver's license as proof of identity.

Sincerely,

remember to sign

THAT was EXACTLY what I was wondering about, I think I can write something along those lines and get them to take care of it.

And Jessi, thanks as well. I think I am going to call them also. Can't hurt, right, maybe they'll take ALL my inquiries off of there if I hit 'em twice!!
