Texas Laws with PDL's and laws

How does this apply to online lenders? Do they have to follow the same laws? I am dealing with a few PDL companys and they tried to tell me that they do not have to follow these same laws because they are not located in Texas.

Yes they do have to follow the laws of your state. The licensing issue isn't as clear but there is a lot of really good information on this site about this issue. United and 500 fast cash will tell you lots of things...

Anything you can find out would be of great help to me also. I wondered about the ursuary laws in Texas.
I had a $400 loan in Sept from Apple Fast Cash. I have since paid over $1500 and still owe the $400.

With one of mine I went and looked that that form again and it says that it doesnt matter what state you reside in they go by there laws in Grenada where the hell is that and is that true?

All pdls have to go by the laws in the state in which the borrower lives.

I will be closing my checking account and opening a new one but it also says on the webiste of thiers that they will debit any account that you have in your name? They cant legally do this right?
I will close the account and then I will contact the PDL's to see about paying the rest of what I owe them but gosh in reading they should only be able to renew once a month it says per Texas laws not twice a month

what if i took the loans out in texas and then moved to a diffrent state? what law would i be under then ?

If you move to a different state, you will be required to follow the laws of Texas only. But the laws to collect the debt of the new state will be exercised where you will be residing. Take my advice after getting it verified with the attorney general of your state.
