Does anyone know of a reputable company for someone with bad credit to obtain about a $3,000-$5,000 loan that they could pay off over time. I really need to pay off a few bills but cannot consolidate.

Does anyone have any suggestions. I have tried one company and got burnt.

Please HELP. Any information would be GREAT.

Thanks!

Have you tried to consolidate and have been turned down or you just don't think you can?

Speaking from experience - I have not been able to take out ANY loan unless there was something to back it up (car, house, computer, etc). However, if you are a member of a credit union, some of them are willing to listen to your side of the story... but $3,000-$5,000 is quite a bit.

And - as a disclaimer, I never recommend taking out more loan/debt to pay of existing bills. Always try and work with the companies you owe first.

If you take a new loan, you will still have to make the monthly payments. Why not use those payments towards the existing debts and pay it off? Your credit companies will work with you if you are serious about clearing the debts. Taking a new loan especially after having a bad credit doesn't help. Besides, there are many scam companies around who deceive people with bad credit. Talk to a debt counselor and see what he has to offer you.
