I tried google, it doesn't come up with anything on any of the numbers (which doesn't surpise me with toll free numbers.) Anyone else?

These are the numbers that have been calling me.
The 613 number appears to be a number from Canada in the Ottawa area but thats the most I could find out so far on it. Thanx in advance for any help.

this number has aready called my cell 3 times this morning. when i call back it says its a do not call center.

I called my cell phone company and they put me on a, "Do not call," list through their phone company, so we'll see if this works.

I got a number from my boss that is a "do not call" number. Supposedly it is with the government and when you call the number it registers your number and telemarketers can't call you legally. 1-888-382-1222.
I will say this though, after calling this number the previous day my husband and I have been getting MORE toll free calls than before.

regarding more telemarketers phone calls after calling do not list - ever think someone is hacking the website (or the computer) and havesting phone numbers.... I do know they havest email addresses off the web ....I do know that I have gotten a few junk emails from myself???? They like message boards where there isn't a fee involved - they will pay fees is they think they can havest enough email addresses from the site....Something to think about....do like I do - I don't answer 800 calls - at home or my cell ..if it is important they can leave a message - which 99% of the time they don't....or phone numbers I don't know - they can leave a message...now if I can only convince my husband to do the same ...these numbers drive him up the wall....

I recently have been applying for a lot of free samples and entering contests, and have had two of the above-mentioned numbers call me, as well as others (mostly 800 #'s). Anyone else into free samples and such too? I can't think of any other reason I'd get these calls all of a sudden.

This is why I dont answer if I do not "RECOGNIZE" The number. If it's actually someone I know, calling from a "stray" number, they will leave a message and I can call back.

Another thing, if you answer your home phone and probably your cell(when in FREE minute time zone) and you can tell it's a telemarketer....just set the phone down and leave it for a few minutes. This will register your phone as a "non-working" number and they will not call again.

I have received 7 calls from this number today and I'm on the Do Not Call list! Anyone know how to report these jerks?

I answered this # after they had called for the 7th time, it is a telemarketer for a home-based business company. just tell them that you told them last week to put you on the do not call list and that if they call back again you will call the fcc, they take your # and put it through right away.

I have called back two of these numbers and each time they are polite and say they will take me off the list, but the calls keep coming!

If you are getting calls from 206-415-9087, google that number and read the website labeled 'Blue Whale Publishing'.......scary !

I get calls on my cell phone from toll free #s from time to time. I have one now thats been calling 888-890-2221.
I wish that there was a data base to look those numbers up to find out who they are. Here is a tip that seems to work on some of those fool Telemarketers. Just answer the phone and don't say a thing. A few seconds later they hang up. Another way, answer the phone POLICE DEPT. LT. what ever how did you get this number. Get the picture. The only way to put a stop to Telemarketers is to fight back.

I receive several calls every evening from this # when I answer they do not say a word, after a few seconds they hang up, I redial the # and get a full mail box recording. How do I stop it?

This was an "ONLINE" survey they claimed, and wanted to give me a FREE vacation. I kept asking them questions until they gave up on me. Next time I will add a "SIT" tone to my answering machine recordint. Special tone to say "Out Of Order"

Hi - I googled the number 613-226-4730 because they keep calling for my husband and won't leave a message. I had no idea who it was, but this site came up and thanks to ya'll, now I know it's probably not someone we want calling!

I, too, like the rest of you that have posted here, heve been getting called from this number. Not too much on Google search to find out who it is. If it's not in use, how can anyone be getting called from it??? I think someone is using the number illegaly, perhaps. No telling in this day and time.

One trick to work your way off those lists is to get a recording of the escalating three tones you here when you call a nonworking number. Play that tone recording (a handheld recorder works well) when those marketers call. A computer dialing your phone will automatically hang up and remove your number from it's listing once it hears those those three tones. No other human intervention needed.

A bit of a hassle but but my phone only rings from friends and family now :)

The provider of 206.415.9087 is Marathon Communications. Their number for customer service is: 1-800-919-1000. I suggest calling them and telling them that you've been receiving harrassing phone calls from the number. Say anything to get your point across. FYI .. if there is no message left it will be a telemarketer ... collection agencies can leave a message for you to return the call but cannot by the federal law leave their name or any person business info on your voicemail or answering service.

I've been getting alot of phone calls lately and everytime my daughter answers the phone they just ask if they can speak to me. If my daughter says that I'm not home and can she take a message, they'll ask if they can speak to my husband. That's how I figure it must be a bill collector because I'm not married. These same numbers call everyday and when I answer the phone, a recording comes on and says "please hold, we have an important call for you, but all operators are busy!" That really takes a lot of nerve. I just hang up. These people never leave a message with my daughter for me to return their call, so I figure that it must not be too important.

602-713-4343 belongs to University of PHoenix. If you asked for info they don't leave a message just call constantly! If you call them they will remove you.

I've been getting phone calls from (613) 226-4730. The name on the caller ID is NEPEAN. The number originates from Ottawa Ontario, Ca. Can't get anymore information than that. Can anyone do better than that? I want to stop them.

I've been getting calls from this number on my cell phone for days now...at least several times a day. I looked into it, and it seems as if this is a scam operation. I have re-registered my number w/ the national Do not call list (even though I had already done it) and filed a complaint on their website. Hopefully this works! If not, I guess I will have to see if I can block the number

I had the same trouble. 866 numbers with no message. Tried google and found this site. whocalled.us/, found who a couple of the numbers belonged to and posted the rest. At least if other people are getting the same calls maybe someone will post info there. Hope this helped out.

I googled that 613 number that alogagan talked about and was pointed here. reverse phone number lookup sites are a scam! I'm gonna see if I can block the number from my phone.

Vallycat, to what you said, if you were already registered via donotcall.gov, and you called that number. You're being taken OFF the do not call list.

I called the FCC and FTC and unless a voice on the other end solicits...there is NO federal violation.
I was sent to the Glendale Police and all they would tell me is that the number originates in a business park. As a note...it also is where the state probation/parole offices are. The police referred me to the Arizona Attorney General's consumer fraud office and they took a report and said they would check if anyone else has a problem. You guys out there give them a call or e-mail them a complaint. The more that complain, the faster they will take action. 1-602-542-5763 is the AG number. Inundate them and shut that line down!

I've been called twice today by this number:/& when I answer,it's an automated message that has already started.

Mine started with a call from "thebestonlinesystems" 719-633-7664. Prerecorded come-on from Colo. Springs.
After that, I've had multiple hang-ups from 701,877,888, 800 and "unavailable". Hopefully, changing my cell number will solve my problem.

This is a company claiming to be called readers choice. I tried finding a web site but can't find one. They told me I won a free vacation! But i had to spend $9.95 and to do so would have had to give them my credit card number over the phone! Ya right! Like I'm going to do that!
