I am working with Sam (Admin of another good mortgage community). We are planning on a special section for the mortgage community, targeting new homebuyers.

I am focusing on another helpful site for mortgage crowd. The theme remains same, "Helping people in need".

Anyone interested in helping me with this special part?

Regards,
Vikas

Vikas,I think that is a great idea! I've known people in the past and present who have home mortgages and gotten themselves in alot of trouble by borrowing against their home so much and end up loosing it or have themselves in debt so deep they do drastic things. Don't know what kind of help you are looking for,I'm not in mortgage or anything, but willing to help!...Karen

That's great, soon I will be contacting you through PMs. I am working on a special guide for all new homebuyers. I have some knowledge in this field and Sam is an expert. I will forward you the raw samples of the guide for feedbacks.

Very true and sometimes lenders do hide few costs. More often it is the customer who is unaware and ends up with a wrong lender.

but we're looking to refinance right now..Is that something that fits in with the topic?

Sam is working on the refinancing part of it. I am concentrating on the "new to mortgage section".

I will like to help people decide,

  • Buy or rent.
  • Credit score analysis. Lenders scoring models.
  • Fixed or ARM, the right loan type. Making them understand the pros and cons.
  • Choosing the right lender.
  • Most imp, the loan process and the payments.

And more and more helpful sections. Anything possible to help them choose the right lender in the industry.

Thanks for the support. I am looking forward for another helpful community.

Regards,
Vikas

Great pollyandsay, how did you find the site?

I also got registered there http://www.mortgagefit.com/discuss/about3438.html . So it can cater our mortgage queries and we can cater their debt related queries.

I don't know how much help I would be but I know when we bought our home we went through a mortgage broker instead of a regular bank because our credit wasn't (and still isn't) great. Put me on the list - I'd love to help anyway I can.

Thanks Sue, I am trying to make something for the user and I am sure you will be able to give me a good feedback. I will send you the section details as soon as I am done with it.

Thanks,
Vikas

Vikas,

Let me know if you need more help. This could be interesting because they are in the process of changing mortgage laws in my state.

Thanks, the way we created a great website (platform) for debt related issues I think this is the right time to create it for mortgage. Feel free to join mortgagefit, consider it to be our own community extension for mortgage.

Since mortgage is a bigger topic than debt consolidation I do not want to introduce it within our forums.

Thanks,
Vikas
