Hello everyone. I have a very confusing question for all of you. Since the beginning of the year, My fiance and I have been working really hard on his credit report to remove mistakes and take care of collection accounts. Some are still in the process.

Well last week we applied for an auto loan and had made an error on the application. Because of that error we were denied not only byt he lender but the lenders they forwarded the application to as well. The mistake was involving income ans as opposed to putting down monthly we accidently put down bi-weekly. So I will have to wait until Monday to contact the lender to see what I can do with them to correct it. But is there anyway I can have the other lenders removed off the inquiry part of our credit report, due to wrongful denial? I know we will get approved once we re-submit to the original lender, but the other's ones dropped our score about 10 points.

I will suggest you one more way of handling this matter if nothing works. First contact the credit bureaus and explain the reason behind the denial. Chances are that they may not remove the inquiries since you are responsible for it in the first place. The lenders made their inquiry and found what you have placed in the file.

If the information put in your file is not edited, use the 100 word statement to present the actual situation. Per the FCRA laws, you can write anything in the credit file that explains the real reason. Go ahead and dispute with the CRA first. Maybe, the need to write a 100 word statement does not arise.
