Hello, does anyone have any experience with this law firm, that specializes in debt negotiation? They don't have any complaints on bbb.org, but I can't find out much more information about them. Can anyone explain how debt negotiation works, and the pros and cons? I appreciate your help. Blessings, Melissa

debt negotiation is also termed as debt settlement. This program begins by offering a settlement amount to your credit companies. It involves tough negotiations between the settlement company and your credit companies towards accepting the settlement amount.

While the negotiations are on, a separate account will be opened for you where you will be asked to send monthly payments. The plan gets fixed for a certain period. Once the credit companies accept your proposal from the settlement company, money is sent at once towards the account. You need to be regular with your monthly payments in order to avoid any shortfall.

Since the amount is settled, the credit company will report your accounts as settled with the credit bureaus. This hurts your credit for a while but the paid accounts put a better impact over this negative remark. A better explanation is done in the page below.
