I was v,a till may but i live japan right now i have to stay japan at least a year but i still owe credit balance i still have mail add in u,s with friend i want to try make 1payment so easy for me also save money for exchange fee sending fee,too

Are you in the military? If so you have special rights afforded to you. But otherwise as long as you send the payments, I don't think they care where you are. First I would be sure that I trust that friend that much because they will have access to a lot of privite info. Also, I would make sure that any dcc that you use is aware of where you are and that this friend would serve as a proxy for you upon occasion. They will need that in writing. A power of attorney or just serving as a proxy. That all depends on your situation.

BTW, welome to the forum! I hope we are able to help you.

Since you will be staying in Japan for another year only, I will like to pay the debts after you return back to US. If you are present in the country, you will be able to take care of disputes in case it arises. I will hesitate in sending payments while staying so far from the country and without reviewing the accounts properly.
