Hi

I have been getting calls from you about a Nextel account that I signed up for in Jan.

I went into one of their sales offices in Fort Madison, Iowa and explaained to the guy behind the counter that I wanted to go completly wireless at home and wanted a phone that could be used as a MODEM for my home computer. The guy did NOT know the answer so he called his boss, Mike, in Burlington Iowa and the answer I got was YES it can be.

I did not buy the phone at that time, but went home to look it up on the nextel website. After going through a bunch of links, I found a page that said YES it would work as a modem for your home computer.

I then spoke with someone in Nextels service dept. and was also told yes it would work. The phone I am talking about is the Blackberry.

I ordered the phone the next day. I had to pay shipping (both ways) and was excited to hook it up to my laptop. I tried for 2-3 weeks to get a connect and could not. I called Nextel's service dept. and was then told that they would NOT support that kind of use for the phone. The next day I shut the phone off.

Tonight I was offered $55.00 for the phone (they have in their possession) as a buy back. They said I continued to use the phone after I called in and cancelled the account, HOW CAN THIS BE IF IT WAS SHUT OFF?????? If the phone was used after it was turned off, it was used after they recieved the phone back.

Anyhow the whole thing boils down to the phone was misrepresented to me by the nextel's authorized dealer in my aqrea, by the nextel website, and nextels service dept. There is NO WAY I will pay $317.61 for a phone that was special order to do what I wanted to do and then find it wouldn't.

I told Nextel I had NO PROBLEM paying for the phone minutes I used, but that was it. My nextel phone balance is $00.00, this rip off is from them chargine me for the phone that THEY have in their possession, and I am very sorry I WILL NOT pay for something I do not have.

I have used nextel in the past and never had any problem, and this really bothers me. I was told that it everything would be credited to the account as soon as they got the phone, but that was not true.

Like I said, NO WAY will I pay this kind of $$ for a phone I only used for a couple weeks. I guess I will just have to ignore your calls. I have tried and tried and been lied to over and over, bottom line they got the phone and can sit on it while it rings before I will pay this account, Sorry.

Hi Wayne,

First I would like to inform you that you have the wrong website.

We have listed a database of credit collection agencies so people like yourself could get the contact information for these creditors so you can address any issue you have with them directly.

Writing your problem on this message board will not do anything to address your problem.

So to reiterate, we are not NExtel. You should try to contact them by phone or try to return in person to wherever you purchased this service.

thanks
