The United States is a true diverse nation comprising of dynamic people. This day of freedom and independence is celebrated by the Americans with barbecues, picnics, and family gatherings. People go to the beaches and burst bombs in the air.
We are proud to be Americans. The feeling about the sanctity of America's Independence Day was best expressed in a quotation from the Virginia Gazette on July 18th, 1777:
"Thus may the 4th of July, that glorious and ever memorable day, be celebrated through America, by the sons of freedom, from age to age till time shall be no more. Amen and Amen."
We are proud to be gifted with the Statue of Liberty located on 12-acre Liberty Island in New York Harbor. It is a gift of friendship to us from the people of France and it marks the symbol of political freedom and democracy.
