I received a call today from Liability SOlutions out of Canada related to a payday loan from EZPayDay Cash. Actually they called my brother and friend and threatened them with subpoena whatever good that would do. SO i called and agreed to overnight them 518 for a 300 loan. I even called and gave them a tracking # but it hasnt left yet. After reading, they sound similar to Ellis Crosby, should i pay or go get the package before it leaves?

The Law Office has not violated any Canadian and/or US debt laws. You think they have, but what you think and what has actually happened are two very different things.

Attempting to collect a debt in the US without being a registered collection agency = felony.

Quote:
and now we all find out that you indeed did (do) have an outstanding amount owing. You think that because the company got fed up with pursuing you and wrote off your debt that you were free. You yourself said that if you have an outstanding debt owed you'd pay it - but you didn't.

Charline - how many $%^&ING times to I have to say this?!?!? Why the hell are you so d@mn stupid and unable to listen? I OWE NOTHING!!! This debt that was written off and your company bought was illegally charged against me. For that fact - I don't owe one penny! But you want to collect - come on. Call me.

I

DARE

YOU.

"I don't have time for your silly and uneducated waste of web space".

The same could be said of your unintelligent, continual comments that have no relevancy or truth to anything you write.

Do what you do best Charline, avoid questions and keep trying to turn the table onto others.

Now I see you are attacking Jedijeff's character, how low will you sink - you must be almost completely buried right about now! Unlike yourself, he continues to prove you all wrong with VALID proof of everything he states - you may learn a lesson from him that is if you can see past the thick cloud covering your brain.

It is so tiring reading your post, as usual nothing productive whatsoever let alone it lacks any intelligence as well. BORING, REPETITIVE and COMPLETE DENIAL. Whn in doubt, you seem to turn it around on everyone else - that is the only thing you guys are good at.

I am sure you will have yet another meaningless comment for my posting - YAWN!

I'm not hurt by your lack of love for me Guest1 or Jedi. Your questions have been answered you just
don't like the answer. There's nothing I can do about that. I've not requested a response from you. If you feel I'm such a waste of time then please refrain from responding. Jedi, I think I actually like you, perhaps it's your abusive nature that tickles my fancy. I or the Law Office has done nothing illegal. I have to go again, because I can't handle the imature nature of the correspondance on this forum. You almost had me with the tropical vacation Jedi, but I now realize that you were just pulling my leg - silly me.
I hope you find what you're looking for. I also hope that you one day realize that the only thing that has gone wrong here is that you owed money to a company that you didn't pay back.
Guest1 I hope I have not disapointed you with my meaningless comment. I'm just used to dealing with people a little higher on the food chain. See I can sling em' just like you can. Jedi is a great guy, I actually like him. I feel badly that he feels as though he was taken, but he truly wasn't. Jedi and I have a love/hate thing going - we love to hate each other (I think)
I can just no longer take post such as yours, Guest1, seriously, I know what the truth is and if you knew me you'd know that I'm not capable of telling a lie. I'm as green as they come. I'm not concerned with what you think of me as a person; just as I'm pretty sure you could care less what I think of you.
Guest1, I only turn the lie into the truth. I wish you well, sincerely I do. You can $!%% all over me, and I'll still go home at night and take care of my kids, make sure they brush their teeth before they go to bed at night, and I also make sure thay have mittens to keep their little hands warm on cold mornings. You see, I'm human just like you. There's nothing here and I don't know why I've bothered. Jedi, I do wish you all the best - you've earned a soft spot in my heart.

Charline - I know you are trying to be the all nice, wonderful, caring person. If that is honest and sincere, I respect that. But why do you fail to listen? Why do you continue to hide in the shadows? Only someone doing something illegal and immoral does that. Do you feel so strongly and confident that your actions are of the best nature that you would allow your children to look over your shoulder and watch what you do?

You want a beach hotel - give me some answers. I think you get some perverse enjoyment out of playing some dumb person, cuz you regularily read only what you want an ignore all the rest.

Here's something new - would you answer this question for me: what do you consider to be the definition of "fraud"? See - that's simple. I am not asking about Kupferstein, the Law Office, Liability Solutions, Juan David, Jay Cowan - nothing. I am asking you a simple, generic question: what do you consider to be the definition of the word "fraud"?

"I have to go again, because I can't handle the imature nature of the correspondance on this forum."

Like that ever happens?! You'll just post on here as someone else like you have been doing all along. You can deny it all you like but we all know whether you say you do or your don't because you seem to not be able to say away as you say you have been doing. If you had truly stayed away from the forum like you said you have then you wouldn't be back here posting . . . . . AGAIN.

Jedi, Fraud is when someone borrows money and with out intend to pay it back. Fraud is knowingly writting a bad check (cheque for all of my Canadian fans)
*deceit, trickery, sharp practice, or breach of confidence, perpetrated for profit or to gain some unfair or dishonest advantage.
What many debtors practice on a regular basis. This is not the practice of the Law Office, or Liability Solutions regardless of you and my friend Guest1 may believe.

So... you were billed for something you didn't order, the company realized it's mistake and wrote off the debt? If an order was never placed, there would be nothing to write off? Regardless, who ever this company is sent your file for recovery; why would they send a debt that doesn't exist?
I don't understand this. I'm actually fairly thin, but that's a whole other topic. Be nice Jedi.
-You forget that I don't know who you are, I have no file to make reference to. You can say anything you want but I have no way of verifying anything.

I'm thru being nice.

They wrote off the debt because I never placed it. And since your company has a history of buying up debt, that's how you guys got a hold of it.

You don't have much to reference cuz the file you bbought contaains little information. And since you act illegally, you couldn't give me any proof of this debt for fear of legal retribution.

Your file was sent by a company that we were in contract with.

Does this company not want their money? It's been over 10 months since your company first contacted me. But since, no more phone calls. No papers served (even though I was told they would be by Friday). No one showing up at my house or work to arrest me.

Wow. Companies contract with you guys for debt collection? Your track record is dreadful. How can they do business with you if you still haven't collected on my account in almost a year? And Intimidated's account? And all the others?

Oh wait...I forgot about all the monies you collect illegally.

No recovery company, anywhere, whether it be a collection agency or Law Office recovers 100% of files forwarded. Your little outstanding debt didn't put a dent in the Law Office's pocket or the company that forwarded your file. You believe that 2 unrecovered files makes a track record dreadful?
You're getting a little carried away with your defamitory and slanderous comments Jedi, I caution you.

But you don't know who I am.

You are right - no debt collection agency (that is what you guys are) collects 100% of their money. But you guys gave up so quickly on me. And you gave up the moment I started yelling "scam". Conveniently, that is the same moment Mr. David had an epiphany and determined that trying to collect from me would be like getting "blood from a stone" (your words).

And it's called FREEDOM OF SPEECH. To be able to sue me for slander, you would have to show that my words and actions caused you financial distress. And to do that, you would have to bring me to court. And if you bring me to court, you would have to bring all your records and show proof of lost income.

Hey wait - if we do meet in court, then maybe I can FINALLY get that case number I needed so I can call you, Charline. :)

Jeff, Proof of lost income would be easy. There are several posters on here that said "Thank you for this site, I was about to pay..." These are people that indeed owed money for unpaid debts. If I really wanted to I could find out who you were, I've just not bothered.
To this day I have no idea if you truly were ever even contacted by the Law Office, you say you were never given a file or case number. How did you communicate with people when you called the Law Office. Was it your voice that was recognized? Each person that is made contact with is given a file number. This way when they contact the Law Office they may refer to their file. Your whole story just doesn't make any sense.
Sorry Jeff, I've tried to believe that perhaps something might have gone wrong for you, but the more you post the more mixed up your story gets.

Well, if you go back, I think my story has been pretty consistant, and I have addressed the fact that I was not given a case number. I do understand that you state it is company policy to give that out, but as I have said - anytime I asked for information, I was treatly rudely. I know you weren't there and you do not know the specifics of my case - I am simply stating what happened, because I was there.

But as I talked in the other thread, that is neither here nor there. We will just let all our posts stand as they are and let people that read them decide. If anyone wishes to contact me via private message, please do.

I will keep you all updated as I have contacted my lawyer's and have given them the go ahead to to shut these people down. These people tried praying on me and my parents. I am not going to put up with it as they don't realize I have money know unlike a few years ago when I took out the payday loans. But instead of working things out with me they threatened my family and I don't take this lightly. Well Mr Sergeant or whoever you are I can't wait to see the expression on your face when I take you down. You are not going to know what hit you. I hope you see this post and laugh because it is going to feel so good when I ruin you. You have messed with the wrong person who is connected beyond your imagination. You are going to wish my file never came across your desk. Your going down BITC!

I to have been harrassd by a number of people at this so called Law Firm. I decided to do some investigation of my own. Because these people use false identities when introducing themselves I decided to get to the bottom of who they actually were. The first in identifying them has gotten me an inside lead to this company. After reading all of your posts I decided things had to be done so after spending a number of days outside of there offices (The actual legit ones and not PO Boxes) with the help from my inside source I have photographed a number of them for whom none look like lawyers. I have got a number of photographs of employees but have not narrowed all of them down to face with a name. In fact it may be possible that a number of them use the same name like Mr David, or Mr Sergeant. I will know more and keep you updated once I meet up with my source again so we can sort through the photographs. I am coming for you especially Mr Segeant and perhaps you may receive a phone call from me at home some day. I hope you think this is a joke because I will be there when I see your jaw drop in AW

Creep once you get a face to a name I would be more than willing to pay for this information as to at least cover the cost for your time. It would have cost me a considrable amount anyways to hire a P.I.. so I will reimburse you for all your hard work and time. Iam happy i did a search of these people and found this link or I would be regretting it today and in the future.

By the way - stalking is againt the law, and so are the threats you've put in type. You were contacted by the Law Office because you didn't pay back a company that you owed money to- that's all.

Whoa, whoa, whoa people! Everyone needs to calm down and take a breath. Tempers are flaring out of control here.

While I realize it is easy to be angry when you feel you have been wronged by a company, but please do not post threats to the forums. They do not belong here. Everyone here will be happy to help you in whatever way we can when it comes to debt and credit-related issues, but we can't do anything to help when there are threats flying back and forth.

Both sides feel they have a point, and are insistent on voicing them. While that is acceptable, threats are not.

Charline - I have been watching the thread and have seen it spinning out of control, and I'm just trying to keep the peace, that's all.

I'm not taking anyone's side here, because I'm not personally involved in it and I don't know the story behind it - it would be wrong for me to do so. I just want to see the threats and insults stop, because they are totally unproductive and do nothing to help anyone.

You let people come on here personally threatning peoples lives etc. These are the types of people we deal with daily yet you think we are to hard on people. If someone uses a bad words you guys jump all over them. But when they threaten lives its ok. I thought you guys were supposed to be helpful and try to help people get out of debt and trouble. But now we are looking at more serious crimes than fraud etc. And by the way if you know were we are come and visit us we'll invite the police and we'll see who is a crook and who isn't

I kinda like "That you", Char. Sort of Buster Poindexter-ish. All you need is a zoot suit. Wanna borrow mine? :D

I agree that threats that include physical harm are stepping OUT of the bounds of debate and into the bounds of criminal. If you feel the actions of a company are improper, contact your local Attorney General for assistance. You have rights spelled out in the Debt Collection laws (there are separate laws for the US and Canada, though that have many similarities). IF the collector is not following them, get your AG involved.

Also, use the tools here to help you get the documentation you need. You can find letters that you can send requesting proof of debt.

http://www.debtconsolidationcare.com/letters/

Both countries laws are identical when it comes to debt validation:

http://www.debtconsolidationcare.com/letters/

If you do not get a debt verification letter mailed to you house, showing the creditor and the amount you owe, DO NOT SEND ONE PENNY.

Would you not agree Janet and Charline?

Jedi, I like you - truly I do.
Most, and I mean that, of these people do not need to have anything validated. They know full well that they owe for an unpaid 'whatever'. I most certainly do agree if you do not recall (?) owing for an unpaid debt - yes request validation.
You know the truth of the matter Jedi, even when provided with validation - most that requested it still don't pay. Sad, but true.

I understand. But if you wouldn't mind, could you answer this simple question, Charline:

Is it not the law of the US and Canada that the debt collector must send proof of debt when requested? Whether or not they know about it, and even if it is a delaying tactic - a debt collector must send this proof via mail.

Am I correct?

This is my answer Jedi, and has nothing to do with the Law Office or any other collection company (whether it be legal or otherwise) If recovery companies spent all their time sending validation letters to people that know full well they have an outstanding debt only to have them not pay anyway - they'd be out of business. Jedi I respect what you're doing here and I respect the fact that you yourself claim to have had a situation with the Law Office. I can't fix what you claim happened to you, nor can I explain why it happened if indeed it did. I know how things operate here, and some of the stories just don't seem to fit. I find much of this correspondance extremely frustrating. Jedi, most (and I mean - almost every single one) of the people that are contacted (again - by any recovery type companies) are fully aware of the debt in question, why should they be sent yet another bill? It's not like they didn't get calls, invoices, ebills - they got them all, and now they would like just one more to get them to pay?
I think I'm just as angry as you are Jedi, but for totally oposite reasons. There are two sides to every coin - you and I are the head and the tail. You pick which one you'd like to be - it matters not to me.

Charline - I am honestly not trying to use a sneaky way to trap you. But the law states that the collection company has to send a debt verification letter if requested. But once is plenty. I am sure some people keep requesting, and that is wrong. When they are sent one, they know what they owe and should pay it. Let's also face facts - collection agencies get money for their recovery skills - they will not go broke. Because in time, with proper documentation, the validation letters will stop and other actions will occur and be justified. But as I said - proper documentation. The first call cannot be threats of jail and court. There are many collection agencies on this forum that use just that (Bass and Assoc. comes to mind).

My simple fact is some people DON'T know why they are being contacted. I am sure some fees get associated to a collection. I think, with those attached fees, people may NOT be able to associate the debt with the creditor. And since the company calling is not the original creditor, a debtor is confused. If I owe Bob's Service, but then MMM Collection Agency calls asking for money but doesn't tell me that it's for Bob, I'm lost and confused. Also - with all the scams going around in the world (I mean that in a general statement, Charline - not against you or your company), it helps to know that this CA has been retained by this creditor. A debt letter helps prove this.

I agree we can both get angry. It is truly wrong when a debtor has their info in front of them and makes an attempt to get out of it all. You were provided a service - you need to pay for that service. As long as the fee is reasonable. And on the flip side, a collection agency needs to be understanding but firm and work with a debtor to recover the monies.

How's that sound, Charline? Did I hit both sides of the coin? I hope so - I really want you and I to come together on SOMETHING. :)

And like I said - my story is water under the bridge.

you people claim to be doing all of this investigating work and you are so called going to ruin people. Im assuming if this law firm or collections agency is calling you, at some point you didn't pay the bill why don't you take the same time that you spend supposedly taking pictures and use it to pay the bill or hand out resumes if you don't have the money to get a job and pay the bill. and how many days would it take to take pictures??? and why would you need a source. its simple you get a camera and take pictures i dont' think you need more than one day and i don't think you need a source to complete that simple task..if you do i think these people calling you should be the last thing your worried about. BETTER yet if you are going to show up at the office why don't you just go do it and stop talking about it what are you waiting for an invitation. in addition TAKING THE FIGHT if you claim to have so much money now why would mr sergent have to make arrangements. just pay wateva you owe and move on. My last question to you is what are you planning to do even if you can put name to the face?? how are you going to ruin them? this site has been up for like 1 year and nothing has been done. i had a bill i paid it i wasn't happy with dealing with these people cause they weren't nice they were rude but i paid and now im done. and for the people that are responding at 10pm on sat nites (ex. JEDIJEFF) i don't know if your state is different than mine but c'mon shudn't you be on dates or out with friends instead of sitting in front of the computer researching what your going to say to janet and charlin.. a little pathetic but too each his own.

I find it humorous you got all bent out of shape on me. I'm not out $2000 for a phony debt. And I doubt you are either.
