Hi vwh

Welcome to the forums. debt consolidation program does not affect the credit report. It is designed to improve your financial standings and maintain your credit worthiness.

Debt consolidation program will appear in your credit report and it will show that you have taken the help of this program to clear your debts with your creditors. This will be appreciated by your creditors because they will find you taking this responsibility to clear off your past debt.

It will be viewed from your credit report that you were not able to pay the original amount to your creditors but have certainly agree to the reduced amount through the debt consolidation program.

The debt consultant working in this program will make sure that you get the best of your credit ratings from your creditors. He will ensure that your creditors report your account as paid in full after the completion of this program. This way, you will be able to acquire the maximum scores.

I have not specifically received reports from anyone that after enrolling in the debt consolidation program, the credit ratings were hurt in anyway. There is only one situation when this program cannot be of any help to you and that is if you miss any payments. So, make sure that if you enroll in the debt consolidation program, you do not default in any of your payments in the monthly cycle.

Do let me know if you have any doubts regarding this program.

Regards
Roxette

I was on a debt mgt program...paid every month ON TIME and it showed on my report like a chapter 13...and can take up to 7 years AFTER you pay them off for this to come off your report! I got denied credit because of the debt management programs!! PLUS they charge 3-5% of your debt as a fee when the credit card companies are already paying them!! BE CAREFUL!!!

Hey Roxette,

I am working with United Christian Financial to negotiate these loans. I found them through this website and they seem very eager to help me.
