I was pulled into my boss' office today telling me that he received a call from a gentleman claiming that he had a warrant out for my arrest for a possible fraud. I called the gentleman back and he informed me that it was for a $300 payday loan that is now totalling $2000 and if I didn't pay it I would be put in jail. Do they have a right to call my Manager and tell him that I "possibly" have a fraud warrant out for my arrest and tell him that I have 2 hours to call or I will be served?

Hi

It seems that Ellis Crosby is making you their next target. Read this forum specially the Ellis Crosby section in the credit and collection agency database carefully to decide your next move.

All you need to do is to face them strongly without any fear and restrict them from continuing such harassments. Please file a complaint against them at the FTC and request them to take immediate action.

Roxette

It's not this company - the company name is SCA. The office manager, Chuck Cantrell called my office telling the receptionist that he is in the process of processing a warrant and needed to speak to a supervisor. To me, it sounded like he was posing as an authority of the law.

I would recommend to get the wire info and then call moneygram ,western union, etc and find out the name of the collector because ellis could have lied. These companies change their names and locations .most likely it is a family business who work out of states with weak fraud laws like florida. It might be sca but it might be crosby
