I have 5 payday advances, from 5 differnt companies, totalling about $3600, and cannot afford to pay them, let alone the finance charges which are due ASAP. I know the evil that lies with payday advances, but at the time I took them they were my only option and now, I am struggling to pay just the finance charges and keep rolling them over every two weeks, which is getting me nowhere. Can your company help me to consolidate these loans? I am desperate to get myself out of this situation!
Thanks
Kristen

Hey Kristen,

Definitely this site can help you. I am in the same boat and I just filled out the free consultation form and they put me in touch with a group that will try and negotiate your loans down and settle the amounts without the big finance charges that you are paying. The group I am working only works on contingency and the fee you pay them is very reasonable. Hope this helps.

The guy I am working with specializes in working with payday loans companies. I got their contact info through this website. I would stop paying on the loans. You can call the bank and have them put a stop on the debits. This website can help you with finding a good debt settlement company to work with. As far as the Payday loan companies working with you, most want their money or part of their money back so they will work with you.

Were the companies that you had loans with willing to work with debt consolidation? I am worried that the companies that I have my loans with, wont and that I will end up really screwed!
Thanks

Are you allowed to give us the name whom you're working with?

i do not think anyone has had any luck in dealing with them, they are so demanding and use the wrong tactics to talk to people. They threaten and demand until people like me just say SCREW IT, You wont get a payment at all. I refuse to pay people that act like that.

I am thinking of calling the payday loan people and telling them i will pay them and i will not pay Ellis and crosby due to their actions. And then see what they say. If they want their money they should accept

mdow315 - It is obvious that since Ellis Crosby is undergoing legal surveillance, the company does not have any right to take legal action against the consumers during the time period.

I will suggest you to deal with your creditors directly if your account is not sold to the collection agency. Most probably, they will be willing to help you because they themselves are interested in recovering their money from you.

They are BHR Associates. I was put in touch with them through United Christian Financial who contacted me from filling out a consultation form on this website.

Thanks Roxette. One of the accounts is sold I know because I called them and they wouldn't even talk to me about it. The other that Ellis is calling about and they say I owe $800 I've never even heard of them. I'm not saying that they aren't a processing company for a payday loan I have...but I really thought I had paid the payday loans I had other than the one that Ellis has now. They are JVC processing so if anyone has their contact information I would appreciate it. Also, I talked with ACA International and they told me that Ellis was just on susoension from thier organization not from collecting all together...so can they collect during this time? If I owe it I want to pay it and get it over with but if I don't I want them to leave me alone. I've requested validation from Ellis and they quite quickly informed me they were not a collection agency and that they didn't have to discuss the validity of the debt with me. I alos talked with Summer Saladino with the Attorney General of Florida...she told me they should have to supply the information I've asked for. So I'm kinda at a loss as to what to do. Any suggestions from anyone?
Again if anyone has the contact info for JVC processing I really would appreciate it. Thank you in advance.

Hi mdow315

The best thing to do at this point of time for you is to relax for some time. Meanwhile, you can pull your latest credit report from all the three bureaus to know the exact standing of your accounts.

Many more like you are at a fix by the havoc created by Ellis Crosby personals. Let some time roll by and see how things will shape up like. By the way, Ellis suspension is for a period of 90 days, starting from June 01 till Sept 01.

As you have asked for, JVC Processing is located at 401 East 34th Street, NY, NY 10016

Roxette,
Thank you for your help here. I don't mean to be a nuisance but and this is a question here......from what I understand from ACA is that they can still collect and continue businessas normal...is that not correct? They told me they were only suspended from their organization and it had no bearing on their ability to collect? Even if it does, I can't have them calling me at work all the time...so once again how should I handle this? Sorry for asking so many questions I really just don't know what to do.

Hi mdow315

We appreciate that you are posting your queries because it is helping others also through your posts. You should continue to post as long as you are not clear with your doubts. :D

Ellis Crosby has many complaints lodged in the FTC, BBB, District Attorney Office because of their illegal acts of business. Their membership has been revoked which means that they cannot legally collect the money from the consumer. But that does not stop them from contacting the consumers through phone and harassing them endlessly. I am so sorry that you have also come within their clutches.

http://www.debtconsolidationcare.com/fdcpa.html

Now, you need to practice your consumer rights and make sure that they don't intimidate you. I will suggest you to inform them when they call you next time that you are recording all their telephonic conversation because you are aware of your rights as per the fdcpa law and they are violating the law by calling you at your place of work.

http://www.ftc.gov/enforcement/rules/rulemaking-regulatory-reform-proceedings/fair-debt-collection-practices-act-text

You can also send a written letter to them through certified mail and inform that you are not interested in communicating with them. If they continue, then you will use your legal rights and file a case against them with your lawyer.

They just have to stop it here

Regards
Roxette

If you go through the following link, you will find many more facing similar problems.

http://forums.debtcc.com/forums/about2525.html

People in Florida are sending money through money gram and then crediting back to their account within 3 days (after sending written notice to money gram). Also, the money is not getting deposited in their account as law is not permitting it.

So, it is evident that it is clear harassment and this is dreadful

I will still suggest you to chill out for the time being but take necessary means as I have suggested in my previous post. They should not disturb you at your place of work. The fdcpa law does not permit that.

Roxette

What do you need to do to get the money credited back to you. I called money gram and they told me the money went directly into the account of Ellis Crosby. I sent them $560 on 07/26/2005. If they can't collect it I sure want to get it back if it is just sitting at money gram. Can anyone help me out on this? Thank you!

Hi mdow315

The payment through money gram usually takes a few days of processing to be credited into the other party's account. Since you sent money gram on 07/26/2005, it would have been very helpful to you if you could have taken action within 07/30/2005.

I unfortunately anticipate that the money might have been credited into Ellis account by this time. But I also strongly believe that the FTC, BBB and many other agencies will take strict action against them very soon and revert back the money of the consumers which have been falsely extracted by people from Ellis.

Let's prey for some positive action in the interests of the consumers very soon.

Roxette

I did call on 7/30/2005 that was the day that they told me it was sent to Ellis account within minutes of me sending it. She gave me the time and date it was in their account. I file a complaint with the FTC but I'm not sure I did it correctly because they sent me something back about the do not call list. So should I make another complaint to the FTC?

Hi,

My name is Thelma Rodriguez and I am a single mom with two kids. Trying to make ends meet it was easy for me to run and make a pay day loan just to meet my kids neccesities. This time I am way over my head and I am lost. I do not know how to get out of this and I am afraid. I am desparate for help and hoping for an answer. I want to pay them back except I can't make the interest payments. I am in hole and really in need of some advise?

Ellis wants you to feel like you are in a hole. But you should not, They are totally taking advatage of everyone who has a past due loan. I got a call in May and June and I have not heard from them since.
Im waiting for my account to be sent somewhere else bc i dont trust these snakes. You should not either, Thier threats are all false and they cant do a thing to you.

Hi Thelma

Welcome to the forums. I feel sad that you are going through such tremendous pressure in your life at this moment.

You mentioned in your previous post that you are looking for some consolidation program to pay the said debt.

Before I offer you any suggestion, I wish to enquire about the lenders or the collection calls of these payday loans. Is your debt in the collection and if it is, are you getting the collection calls from Ellis Crosby?

If so, then please do not take the calls of Ellis Crosby seriously. Please read this forum elaborately and you will realize that the collection calls of Ellis Crosby are purely unfair and highly illegal. You just have to pay the debt at the present moment if it is regarding the collection call from Ellis Crosby.

If the said payday loan is with a different lender, then you can consolidate them into one loan amount and ease your monthly payments. You will be offered easy monthly installments and this will help you to clear your debt without haste.

Since your debt amount has gone higher with the interests on it, the consultant working in the program will negotiate with your creditors to cut off the financial charges, late fees from it. Thus, you will be offered to pay the reduced amount of your debt.

You can enter into a free counseling with this website and know your various options on how to become debt free quicker.

Regards
Roxette
