Does debt consolidation affect your credit negatively. Even if your accounts have not gone to collections.

I used the debt consolidation program and saw its impact on my credit report. It did not harm my credit rating in anyway and I am on my final stage of this program.

As you know that when an account is gone to the collections, it harms the credit report badly. The debt consolidation programs works with the objective of completing all your payments and thus when the accounts are complete, it is shown in the credit report as 'Paid in full'. It earns the maximum credit scores after the accounts are shown in the paid status.

You can use the debt consolidation program being rest assured that it will not have any negative impact on your credit file. After all, it will ease your repayments and make you debt free quicker.
