My husband and I are both in credit counseling programs, but the combination of our monthly payments is over $700 and our budget is much too tight. Is there a way to get a consolidation loan of some sort that may be low interest and lower payments? We're both over half way through our programs in paying off our debt.

Shawna - After doing an extensive research for the proper debt consolidation company, I used the services offered by this company and entered into a consolidation program.

The consultant offered me the lowest rates of interest which has helped me in saving a good portion of my hard earned money at the end of every month.

I will recommend you to enter into a free counseling with this website. If you feel satisfied, you can start with the consolidation program with them.

Please do not take any loan to clear your past debts. Because it will more like expense over expense. Also, the rates of interest are also higher in comparison. And you will have to pay the interest twice. It will also require a security from your side to be pledged against the loan. There might be a risk of losing the property if you fail in making payments.

Considering all the mentioned drawbacks of taking a consolidation loan, I will suggest you to take a debt consolidation program. It not only offers the lowest rate of interest but also does not require any security to be pledged from your end.

Enter into a free counseling and I bet it will be helpful. I have felt myself satisfied using the services of this company and I am at the final stage of becoming debt free.
