Hi

Welcome to the forum. Looking at your present situation and considering your age, I suggest you not to opt for bankruptcy. It has more negative effects than a few positive ones. Instead, you can try for some debt management programs. These programs will help you to rebuild your credit file and also maintain your credit worthiness.

I guess the consultant will be able to explain you more in details about the advantages of consolidation programs.

You'll want to talk with a good credit counselor first before you decide whether or not to declare bankruptcy. It's now mandatory before you file. Start with looking at the bills you have for your daily living (housing, transportation, insurance and food). Any other creditors can take a back seat for a few months while you get your financial house in order. Write again and let me know if you can meet your basic expenses if you didn't have the other creditors to deal with and how much is left over once you cover those things (and how much more the monthly bills are) and let's see if we can't get you back on track, okay?
