fine print
I would ask to speak to a supervisor. I once had Sprint wirless in Oklahoma City. When I moved to Ann Arbor, Michigan I lived in an area not TOTALLY covered by their towers. One side of the street was, and one side wasn't. This was in Dexter, Michigan. Now I should of been on a plan anyway, where I was cut off after $150, but I wasn't. Anyway...this entire time I was roaming. I'd be calling my mother who was still packing in Oklahoma City...and so when the bill finally came, it was well over $550. They finally cut the phone off then, and I was appauled and shocked to find out it was soo high.
They finally agreed to credit the account, and I ended up paying what I actually used...which was about $80.
One month later and some odd days, that credit was reversed and the $500 was put back on the account. I ended up having to cancel...seeing how I'd be roaming anyways...and found another carrier.
You might be able to get the charges reversed seeing how you HAD THE SERVICE on your phone. Seeing how you had that service (and I'm sure they charged you that month)..they should of sent you an internet ready phone or told you otherwise.
I would recommend speaking to a supervisor, and make you find out if the credit is an actual credit and not temporary.
I hate how cell phone companies all have fine print somewhere.
Keep us updated!

I have also dealt with Sprint and even their supervisors are rude. THey sent me a bill saying I owe them well over 300 bucks. But I cant begin to pay for service that I didint even use. Even though they have a low deposit, I would advise anyone to stay away from them. Better off having prepay if your credit isnt up to par
Sprint stinks!
I had the same problem. I would make a payment to Sprint ,and the next day they would shut my phone off because they added more fees. Then they started shutting my phone off for going one cent over their stupid credit manager limit. I left them for T-mobile (who I later left for poor quality of service. As a matter of fact I'm fighting with their collection agency now. They claim I owe two hundered dollars. I refuse to pay because T-mobile had crappy service, and i feel they breached their contract repeatidly.
Back to Sprint. I was able to get the early termination fee waived after going round and round with them and waiting for them to send it out to collections. It was one of those rare cases where the collector was easier to deal with than the original creditor. I encourage everyone I know on Sprint (and now T-Mobile) to drop it and switch to Verizon. It may be a little more expensive, but they don't seem to hassle you as much either.

Well...Sprint also bought out Nextel. I was with Nextel, still am...and currently with content with their service. If anything along happens with my customer service, I will be switching to Verizon.

Well sprint has gotten alot of bad reports and now they do a survey at the end of calls like thats gonna help!but since they have imerged to nextel they seem a little easier to deal with!

I know a senior manager for NexTel. I'll have to see what he has to say about this.
But as far as Sprint goes, most people aren't aware that they share cell towers with Verizon Wireless. The interesting part is that they advertise a huge coverage area which is techincally not even theirs (its Verizon Wireless' network). Also, if a Sprint and VW customer both connect through the same cell at the same time, the VW customer gets priority and the Sprint customer is dropped. A little trivia for ya. I was with VW for almost 3 years and found that most of my coverage was solid with a quality phone (not the generic ones they try to give you when you sign up). Invest in a good phone.
As for Sprint - yes, they have a very long history of being pushy for cents and harassing customers that are late on payments. Quite frankly I wouldn't want a provider that is going to shut my service off for 10 cents. That is a bit ridiculous to me. Even if it were automated, the least they could do is say "we'll reactivate it and add your 10 cents to your next bill." That is customer service!
Hi
yeah their customer service really sucks! And to be quite frank they are very rude and thats how they loose alot of customers for being so rude to people and shutting their phones off!I'm so sick of them I am about ready to switch but I just can't afford a high deposit cause my credit is not good so most places want between 500 and I can;t afford that right now so I guess I have to put up with sprint till then!

chmartinbaby06, Verizon didn't require a deposit from me when I switched, it may be worth checking into.

The security deposit requirement is based on your credit score (Experian I think). If it is anything below average they will require a minimal deposit. They're pretty liberal, though. I remember when I was researching Sprint and Verizon Wireless I ran between the two booths being a negotiator and Verizon Wireless told me that they'd hook me up with a plan without a deposit (even though my credit at the time was somewhat sour and Sprint said they'd want a deposit). So bring up that you're shopping between companies (and say something like "I just got done talking to Sprint and they said they wouldnt require a deposit" ... maybe that will work).
i agree sprint has THE WORST customer service reps
