Hi Dorothy,

Have you ever signed any contract with them or did you have any deal in past? If yes, check the agreement papers to verify whether you had allowed them to withdraw cash from your checking account.

Otherwise, contact your bank to find out some solution.

I have a credit card pruchase of $125.00 removed from my account, and I don't know how they even got the info for the account they removed money from! I called Rio Resources, and I ws given the number (866) 859-6129, and was told that they could help me...of course now all I get is an answering system!!! I hope someone else is more successful than I am with finding out who this company is!

I did get an advance from this company and it was paid in full in September 2005 where they would take deductions from my acct every weeks. Then on 10/7 they deducted again $155.00 costing me an additional $32.00 totaling $187.00 and I want my money refunded into my account. This company is very fraudulent and they have no means of contacting them and this is not business like. I advise anyone desiring to use this company to just make due and LEAVE THEM ALONE BECAUSE THEY ARE A GIMMICK AND I HOPE THEY ARE CLOSED DOWN AND HAVE TO REIMBURSE EVERYONE FOR ALL THE MONEY THEY HAVE TAKEN ILLEGALLY.......

I have filed a Chapter 13 and they still take money out of my account. Thanks for the addresses and the info to contact the attorney general.

Has this debt been discharged in chapter 13 bankruptcy? Closing your checking account will be preferable to avoid all the unauthorized debits.

I think I just paid off the loan I received from RIO RESOURCES but can't find them on the web...did they go out of business?

Has this account been updated with the credit bureaus? If it is still not updated, contact the company to do the needful. Otherwise, some time later, a different company will enforce collections activities on the same debt due to this incomplete update.

I had a debit taken out of my account November 1, 2005 for $170.00 that was not authorized by me. The previous loan I took out was paid-off Oct. The payment were for $120.00. I want the money credited back to my account as soon as possible.

Diana, you need to contact at the customer care of Rio Resources and claim for a refund. You might need to put this claim legally.

I suggest you to file your complaints at the FTC, BBB and the local attorney general website. This will put some legal importance on it.

I also am having problems with company taking money out of my checking account,so far they have taking over $500.00.I will be contacing the BBB and the attorney General.does anyone know how to get in contact with them????

Contact Rio Resources at 804 687 3959. Also, take help of your bank. You can prevent the debits by closing your checking account. If you don't want to close your checking account, block the ID code of the company. This is the code which is used by a company for making the debits. Get in touch with your bank and get more information on how to block the company. This will stop all the unauthorized debits that might be done by Rio Resources in the future.

I have tried to contact someone in reference to extending my loan, so the full balance would not be taken out of my account on the due date. I have not be able to get in touch with a representative at all. Could someone please contact me in reference to this situation. I would greatly appreciate a prompt response.

Contact your bank and ask for their cooperation to stop unsolicited debits. Also go through the previous pages of this thread. Some members have posted Rio's contact information here.

Michele Harriday, talk to your bank and close the checking account. Also ask the bank to dispute each of the debits with the company. They will have to verify the items. If they fail to give you the details, you must claim for refund.

I had a $60.00 debt out of my account. I found out that they are affliated with TenDollarPaydayLoan.com. Please watch out!!

I dealt with Rios and they seemed to take what they want when they want. It got so bad that I called my bank and told them that my debit card was lost. I was scheduled for a payment od 120.00 & 100.00 one month apert. The 100.00 being my last payment. They took one payment one week and the last payment the second week. Needless to say, the debt is payed off. I would spend the money via western union and pay the extra 6-12 dollars, versus them taking your money at their convience.

Always enter into an agreement before paying them. You should see the papers first, and then make suitable payment arrangements. Also make it certain that they would report your account properly.

My accounts are settled with them. I have received paid in full letters from them. Just watch out and be careful about giving out your debit card number.

why do all of you get loans and sign the agreements and then cry about it and ask "where did my money go" and "who is stealing from my account" maybe you should realize you cant get free money and if you borrow it from a company, they are going to get it back.

Diana, contact your bank and put a stop payment. Also check if they can help you get it credited back.

Get all the documentation you can,as well, of any money that they have taken from your account...Go into your bank asap and file fraud on this company.

I paid Rio Resources through automatic debit thru $30 payments each pay period, now they just took $80 out of my account...this company should be audited and legal action should be taken against them. Do they have an actual website with their business name?

I had a four hundred dollar loan with Rio Resources in July 2005. They continue to debit my bank account for 120.00 to 140.00 per month as recent as 03-31-06. I have tried to contact this company with no success. If you find a solution, please let me know.
