As per the fdcpa law, Allied Interstate needs to validate the debt before the consumer pay it. If they are unable to provide any information, you can dispute with them.
Also, you can send a correspondence letter stating that you refuse to do any communication over the phone and will communicate through mail only. They are required to stop all the collection efforts after receiving your letter.
