quick question? has anyone applied for a plasma tv and speakers set @ digitalnowtv.com and get the products that they were promised. i applied for my system almost 3 months ago and have not received a thing. my delivery date was 07/19/2005 and as of now there phones are not working, i have gave them a 149.00 deposit that i assume now i will never get back. i just want to know, has anybody else been burnt by them or did they really get the product. the contact #'s i have no one is answering and when i do leave a message, i never get a response, i have reported them to the better business bureau and that has not done a thing either.

Sounds like a familiar scam. Except now they're offering televisions instead of loans (lol).

But seriously now ... what I would do if I were you is:

(1) If you paid via your checking account, close your checking account immediately and tell your bank to refund you the money because it was taken unauthorized. They will give it back to you. If you paid any other way, you're probably SOL.

(2) Contact the BBB and the Attorney General's office for your state. File a report.

(3) Watch your credit report for identity theft. A lof of these scammers take down your personal information and distribute it to 3rd parties. Then they try to open credit in your name.

(4) Any financial information that you provided to them needs to be sealed (ie. close the account and notify them of fraud on your account).

(5) If the fraud took place on your credit cards you will also want to contact the three credit bureaus.

Did I forget anything, guys/gals?

I think that should be agaisnt the law to do such a thing like that because if you have no way of getting in contact with these people then there should be away you are able to get your money back did you have them take it out of a bank account?Usually your bank gives you back the money if you make an affadavit on it and they investigate so maybe you can try that if you have used your bank account!

i have a signed contrac with this company, they first started by saying that the manufacturer was backed up in getting the product so that made the delivery dates move up, so i was like ok. Then they told me the problem was fixed and since i have been patient and waiting I would get a $100.00 cash rebate when the set is received. Since then (a month ago) I have not heard from them, nor will they callme. I know Im SOL, but this is ridiculous.

i sure did and nothing has happened.i have called every # i was given and at first i spoke w/ someone by the name of charles mason, which said he was the vp of purcahsing and i was going to be priority...nothing has happened since then. i have chalked it up as a loss. i have left numerous amounts of messages w/ no response, i made a sudden irresponsible move thinking that i was going to get something like that on credit so easy...now i have learned....i betcha i wont't be hasty anymore...just slightly disappointed and pissed.

why would the VP be answering the phone?

sounds fishy.

Sorry this has happened to you, but if you file a report, and if you really want to take it further you should keep on it. If you have documentation where you paid, and even that contract...you could sue.

So these addresses that most companies provide...

...the ones that apear to be a business

are these an actual building, or just another fowarding service.

That should also be a topic of discussion. Should businesses use real addresses, and if they aren't an actual building...should fowarding services be illegal?

Im sorry u are absolutely right. All u do is get a message stating that they are currently busy and they will get back to you. What happened to the customer service people tht use to answer the phone? I really needed that television and now i promise that i am going to do whatever it takes to atleast let everyone know what type of company this is. I reported them to the better business bureau as well but nothing has been done and i doubt if anything will be done.

There are occasionally banner ads for collection agencies on this page. Call one of the one that say they dont charge a fee unless they collect. it would be cool to get turn about. Besides, If you already resigned yourself to the fact your not gonna see the money again, you cant loose. If they actually do recover then you come out ahead. At least you still have the contract for validation.
