I am sorry that you got ripped off. You should have done some research about that company before sending money. They wanted to scare you so that you pay them hurriedly.
Do you have any receipts of this money sent to them? You can take the help of your attorney and file a class action lawsuit against them.
Before you pay to any company, always ask them to validate the debt. This will help in knowing the details about your debt. You will also know that you are paying to the right company.
Ameriloan
I took out a $300 loan on September 3, 2008. After checking my bank account online Ameriloan as taken $830 from my account. They say I agreed to their terms in an email they sent me. I may not have done a good job paying attention to the details and got burned. I am willing to help or join any cause to help this from every happening to anyone else. My email is edited for your protection - ND if anyone would like to contact me so we can come up with a plan to help take down businesses that do this to people that are in a jam and need a loan.
Please do not post personal info on a public forum - ND
Ameriloan ripoff
I too was taken by Ameriloan. I had a balance on a $500 loan. They took their $655 out of my acct on May 14th. On June 12th they tried to take it again saying they hadn't received it. I have faxed copied of my bank statement to them after I received their demand for payment and the person I talked to said that wasn't good enough....they wanted the running balance showing payment. I just received an email demand for final payment as I stopped payment for an attempted draft of the same amount on June 12th. Either they are crooks or they are idiots who have no idea how to maintain records......
