I am curious about payday loan companies that work or conduct business out of the US. How do they place information on your credit report if they are in a different country? Isn't your credit report different if you live overseas?

Also, if we were under the impression that the company was in the US, but found out that they are really out of the US. Isn't that false representation and is a wash on the loan, since they misrepresented themselves to the person they conducted business with?

Just some thoughts...Or maybe stupid questions...

Hi

If a company wants to extend their business in a different country they will first have to take permission from the government of that particular country.

They can commence business in the new country only after getting legal rights from them. Once done, they set up their branches here and work under the jurisdiction of the new country.

But things get tough when companies doing shady business hide their business in this country in order to escape the legal laws. We have heard about some companies in this forum that they are located in UK and have their branches in US. But in order to escape the legal laws and consequences after committing legal crime, they don't disclose the facts about their business.

All the automatic debits are done from a different country so that such companies don't leave any trace here.

FTC, BBB and other government agencies have received sufficient complaints about such companies and are likely to take legal actions soon.

It is always better to file as many complaints against such business to the bureaus so that legal actions can be taken quickly by them.
