Someone calling from an unknown number at my home, work

this number shows up on my moms caller id at least 5 times a day. Never leave a message. I have emailed the number to phone busters and hopefully they can find out who's it is.

This company has initally called me at my job and I returned the call and ask them not to call me there.
I have also received this same telephone number on my caller ID. The name of this company is called First Credit of America based out of Chicago, IL. I have explained to these people my situation and ask them not to call me any longer and to notate the informaiton in their records however they do not seem to do that and continue to call me which I think it is very annoying and an act of defiance on their part. This company is a collection agency and the some of the representatives are very rude. I have had situations with a couple of collectors and when asked to speak to a supervisor it is like they start yelling at you and act as if they do want you to speak with one. I just want to get the situation rectified and have my wishes granted by speaking with someone in management. Crappy customer service!!

I also found a website regarding the company First Credit of America in Chicago, IL pertaining to this collection agency and has some very interesting information from other peoples experience with this company. Are they calling you by mistake? Or they are trying to collect some due accounts of yours. However, if you don't want to be contacted over phone and don't want them call at your work; send them CMRRR requesting to stop calling.

If they continue calling you after receiving your letter, it will be a clear breach of fdcpa and you can file complaint against them.

It's First Credit of America. I am gettubg to know these people a little too well. Two to three calls a day. I have requested them to send information and they haven't. These people are looked at as the WORST of all debt collection agencies.

They do not validate and don't pay them a dime. If they have violated any part of the fdcpa, file a complaint against them with Lisa Managan AG for Illinois. First Credit of America was known at one time as Avylon Technologies. They were fined severally for violations and now they go by First Credit of America.

It is a company out to collect some tyoe of debt. I have had a really bad experience with this company. One of the collector's threatend my children (6,8,10) and was very rude to me and never bothered to tell me who he was. I also made payment arrangements and they took out two times the amount I told them they could. I am still trying to resolve my matter but I do not feel comfortable giving them any information.

It's First Credit of America they have three locations in Canada according to 1-800-555-1212 I've called my phone company and they said call the federal trade commision at 1-877-382-4357. First Credit of America is very rude they hand up on you and will give you no info about themselves and they run a very shotty organization I have called them back and asked numerous times to be taken off there list and told them who they are trying to contact is not using thsi phone anymore and they hang up on me and everything else. So if Federal trade Commision doesn't work maybe call them back repeatedly since it does cost them for teh number and time see how they like it

You can call the 1-800 number to discover whom it is calling you. And, you can tell them to take you off their calling list--that you will call them at your convenience. (I called; the company calling is First Credit of America). It may be a solicitation to you for a credit offer or an attempt to collect a bad debt from you or someone you may have co-signed for in the past. ??? Also, you can call your phone company and have the call blocked as it is a harrassing caller indeed. Furthermore, you can make an official complaint with the FCC as they have a website to report such cases as this. Also, you can simple check you credit reports to verify. Your yearly free credit reports are available at . You can only view the initial report over & over again though for 30-days unless it is updated within 30 days by the credit reporting agency(s).

After getting many calls from these idiots, with nothing I said to them making them stop, I reported them to the FTC and to phone-busters. The next time they called I told them that I reported them, and the calls stopped. It's been three months now. So I guess I've finally gotten rid of them.

I just feel bad for all the poor people they've stolen from already.
