This company has taken at least $59 out of my checking account for the last 5 weeks. Than today they took out another $59 plus $118. I went right to my bank and had them close my account and open another one. I have also filed with the BBB. I have sent letters to this company, tried to call and fax and have had no response from them at all. The last time I actually spoke with someone was the day I took out my loan. I have not recieved an email from them at all, nothing, not even to ask me to pay which means that I have never authorized them to extend the loan or pay it in full. I have no idea how they do this. After reading the previous posts I see now that these loans are not legal In NY where I live and want all my money back from them. Any ideas anyone, please let me know.

Welcome to the forums. Sorry to hear of your trouble. Apparently Cash Today, Ltd takes out a certain amount to apply towards your loan. This only "renews" it. They will continue taking out that amount each payday till the entire amount is paid in one lump sum.

Please read the thread below for more details about Cash Today.

Getting your money back simply because it's illegal in NY might be a little bit difficult, as the loan starts (opens) in the UK. However, complaining, making complaints, and going through the right channels might show Cash Today, Ltd. you're serious; and perhaps they'll consider the loan paid (closed).

Let us know what happens...

Regards-
Mike

Thanks Mike for the link to read about Cash Today. I have paid the entire amount and above at this point and now there taking 2 seperate AHC payments every week. 1 for $59 and than another for $118. My bank is going to refund me back that money and did tell me that this company has caused problems for many of their customers.

The last debit towards your account for $118 puzzles me. I know that the $59 every 2 weeks sounds right. But hearing from others, that only renews the loan. That you will keep getting debited $59, until the loan is repaid the full amount (not spliting it up).

Speak with their customer service department in the toll-free number provided in the link. Apparently getting firm with them about your future actions regarding the company will get them to back off.

Mike

My bank has closed my checking and linked savings account as well as issuing me new debit cards so there is no way for them to debit any longer. I did file a complaint with the Trust UK and recieved this message back this morning:

Dear Ms. Lancer

Thank you for your complaint about Cash2day4u.

Trust UK is the e-commerce standards agency. As such, it approves the codes of subscriber & membership bodies and hears complaints about webtraders based in the UK. We do not hold records on the activities of all UK e-commerce.

We have had previous complaints about this company and believe it to be a scam. However as we do not keep records of all UK e-commerce, we cannot tell you this for sure. At TrustUK, we can mediate between consumers and legitimate webtraders, but not fraudulent firms.

I regret I am therefore unable to give you any assistance in this matter. The details of your complaint, however, suggest that it is a matter best referred to the Federal Trade Commission in Washington DC, which has powers to investigate and seek redress on your behalf. You can find their website at http://www.ftc.gov.

I would also suggest you contact Scambusters, part of the Office of Fair Trade, here in the UK. You can contact them on euroteam@oft.gsi.gov.uk

Kind regards,

Daniel Landes
