Okay, here goes. The situation is with JD Marketing, a payday loan company that is on my consolidation program. I had taken the loan out in May of this year for $300, plus the $90 finance fee. I had faxed the form in at the end of June to pay off the loan in full. I shredded the document because I had a previous loan with them before. They never debited the full amount. They continued to take the $90 finance fee every other week for the past six months. I closed this checking account last week. I only have my bank statements showing the debits. I do not have their orginal paperwork. Dummy me! I sent them a certified letter on Tuesday asking for an account history of how the money was applied. I contacted the attorney general in Nevada. They told me to contact the division of financial institutions. I did so this morning. I explained the situation to three different people. They are not licensed in the state of Nevada. Big surprise! He told me I probably won't be able to get my money back without the original documents. He is going to send an investigator over there soon. Should I wait to see if I receive something back from the payday loan company? I've asked for the original documentation. Should I file a complaint with the BBB? Or should I call the company directly? Or should I call my consolidation company? They told me last week to call the attorney general. I'm sorry this is so long.

Hi msmishele30

Welcome aboard!

I think this is the same matter on which we had a discussion few days ago. Since your debt management company is in charge of this account, they are responsible to take care of it in the future. Ask him to get a copy of the original documentation from the lenders if it can be possible. The debits shown in the bank statement is an important proof in this matter. Try to search for some other proofs as well.

Any complaints about the illegal activities of these payday loan companies should be submitted wherever required. It will be better if your consultant involves himself in this matter and get the matter resolved. Keep us updated on this matter.

Regards
Roxette

Sorry, I don't mean to keep asking the same questions over and over. I need to stop and think before I get upset or become frustrated. I did call my counselor and informed her of what I found out. I talked to someone at JD Marketing today and explained the circumstances. I was told to contact the manager on Tuesday since he is on vacation. My debt counselor is going to take care of this for me then.

I am finding out a little research on my end goes a long way. I am learning to keep a little cooler head about things as well. I think I just got a little frustrated after to talking to the guy from Nevada last week. I did talk to my counselor about this and they are going to contact the manager from JD marketing on Tuesday. I have also sent in a certified letter to them asking for an account history for this loan.

I contact the Ohio Dept of Financial Institutions this week. I found out they aren't licensed in my state either. Also, I found out the fees that are allowed in my state as well. I'm not going to make any payments to this company right now. The next step is for the counselor to call and request the information as well. Plus, I can file a complaint with my state's attorney general's offfice as well as the BBB in Nevada if nothing happens. I'm feeling more positive. At least it was brought to light to the Nevada Department of Financial Institutions. Maybe someone else can learn from my mistake and not deal with this company.

I also got a quick loan from JD Marketing and for some reason I can't find my original documents.

I need them to pay it in full and don't know how to even contact them. Any help with a phone number for them or how to contact them?

I also had a situation with United Cash Loans. I sent the message to pay the loan in full and they say they didn't receive it. My email says they did. Now, it's my problem and I have to pay another $45.00 to get it paid in full.
