Well, I got my first call from Tiffany Stone from Sonic Payday a little while ago. She was nice enough. She sent an e-mail to my boss at work to verify employment. She cc'd me at home. I'm off the next couple of days so I'm not sure how he is going to react. It states I have an outstanding or unpaid loan with them. UGH! With Sonic Payday in big letters. I faxed them last Friday stating T & C could work with them. Now, I have to fax the collections department with the same information, along with the counselor's last name. Is this standard procedure for Sonic? Also, I sent them do not call letter last week. It stated not to call, fax or contact my supervisor at work. I guess the e-mail is okay? Of course, they don't work with debt consolidation companies. I know that's not true. LOL! And they will only accept money via western union or quick collect. Then she proceeded to tell me that even if they cash the check from T & C on my behalf, they can still send it to collections. A company called Universal Fidelity. Isn't that illegal once you enter debt consolidation and they accept the payment? She said she is holding my account until next Friday. If my boss asks me about it, I'll just tell him I'm taking care of it. I don't think that will be such a big deal. Because I also sent them a certified letter revoking the wage assignment a couple of days ago. Of course, I'm sure they'll try to contact my boss about it because they think he's my payroll department as well. We'll see what happens. But we did mypaydayloan.com straightened out so that's good news.

Just read that Sonic Payday also uses alias names like Ecare Contact Centers and PRL Direct. Be careful while dealing with them. Sonic will probably ask you to send the payment to Surrey,BC. They have a call center in Winnipeg Manitoba Canada. They are located at 433 Main Street. These people lie and cheat people regularly. Most of the times, they threaten with all sorts of legal actions but so far, they have not taken any.

Whatever I will say against Sonic, probably, it might not be sufficient enough. Their bad practices are just endless. All I can end with is that this company cheats people and makes big fat money. They no longer care for the people. They are only after money.

Tiffany Stone was actually very pleasant to deal with. I told her that in my dealings that I had forwarded my information to my attorney only because of certain illegal hittings of my account. It caused all sorts of mess. I have since cleared everything up, but explained to her that I had faxed a cease & desist letter. She told me that she would note that account, and she could no longer speak with me. It was still another 2 months before I had my account settled, but no one would speak with me. My attorney dropped the case, and I ended up speaking with Yolanda Green, but she also would not speak with me. She said I had to fax a letter stating that she was allowed to speak with me...and ended the call there.

Regards
Mike

This is all very interesting that you have all talked to a nice person at Sonic Payday. I dealt with Suki Hilton and she wasn't so nice. They did post the payment from Town & Country to my account and I haven't heard anything from them since. I also sent them a letter do not call letter so that may have helped. I think from what I've heard they only call around the times they think you're getting paid and I only get paid once per month. I am planning on paying them off as soon as possible with the tax refund because I don't want to deal with the wage garnishment issue.

Here is a question. They sent an e-mail to my boss at work, and a copy to me at home. They mentioned that I had defaulted on a loan with them. Isn't it illegal to disclose the matter like that? They wanted to verify my other information which is fine. I just don't think they are allowed to discuss the issue or that I defaulted on the loan with them. I'll just tell my boss it's a debt collector doing illegal crap. I don't care if he e-mails them back but I'll call my debt counselor tomorrow to discuss it further. It was too late to do it tonight.

Well, good news about Sonic. I talked to another lady named Stephanie today. She was nice as well. I'm going to pay my loan off in full with them next Friday. They won't accept two payments, this week and next, for some reason. I'm going to send it Western Union to Delaware. I paid another loan off like this so I know it's trackable in the US. They didn't ask me to send it to BC. Stephanie even waved the late or nsf charges for me since I had been a good customer. I was floored. She said she'd rather see me make one payment instead of paying the western union fee twice. I called my debt counselor and she was glad to hear the news :D
