My girl friend has gotten in over her head on Chase credit cards. She is currently enrolled in Chases progroam to pay these cards off in five years and is makeing her payments on time. The problem is Chase call seveal times a week. Is this harasment, she has not been late since enrolling in this program. Incidently she was 83 years young on Jan 8. 2006 and I am 79, soon to be 80 myself.

Creditors are not subjected to follow the fdcpa laws that are listed for the debt collectors. However, they should not call your girlfriend regularly, especially when she is making the payments on time.
Has your girlfriend ever picked up the phone and know what they are calling for? It might be possible that they are urging to increase the monthly payments. I suggest both of you to have a clear conversation with them and know the crux of the matter. Maybe, there is a need of direct conversation that can settle the matter completely.
