I am not sure if this is the right web site, for my situtation, however one of my creditors i am dealing with has my social secerity number on my corespondance letter, they in turn told me it is on there software, i dont think that is right, that how id theft starts,i dont want my s.s. Number allover the internet. Now what can i do about this problem?

Creditors need the SSN number before extending any credit to the consumers. So, it is perfectly legal for them to have your SSN#. They are legally restricted from misusing your personal information otherwise it will result criminal offense.

Luke, I can suggest you to monitor your credit report very religiously so that you are aware about any untoward incidence.
