I have a debt management program with MMI and I still can't seem to get ahead. Should I be working with another company?

Jen, you should be very cautious while choosing the debt management company because you trust them to make the payments to your creditors. If your total debt has not taken a downward turn in a period of six months, you should have a brief discussion with your consultant. It is always wise to monitor your accounts regularly and know about your payments sent to the creditors.

You should get monthly statements from your creditors as well as the consolidation company showing how the money was applied towards each account. If you have not been served with any of the important details, you need to talk with the consultant and make arrangements that suit your financial requirements.
