Hello I currently have lexington law working on my behalf .my question is about a garnishment i failed to appear in court on said acct. was a household cc secured for 300 dollar deposit well i regrettingly failed to make payment acct was sold i believe twice and balloned to 2200 dollars with atty. fees i have one other acct similar thats now around 900 only other debts are a couple small medical bills 418/91/255 /and thats it on my file im going to pay med accts, but unsure how to clear up old credit cards, is theyre anyway i can stop garnishments short of full ballance- fyi Ive benn employed at jewel foods for 27 yrs,annual income about 50.000 and desperatly need to fix score for home loan please respond. If you failed to appear in court, you are going to have trouble stopping the garnishment because the judge ruled against you since you did not go and defend yourself. You may be able to contact the CA and see if they will take a settlement, then try to get the agreement in writing, then maybe you can go through the courts to get the garnishments stopped. But as of right now, if the judge ruled garnishment, there is nothing you can do about it.
