do your debts show up on your credit report while in cons. process

A statement will appear in your credit report showing your use of the consolidation program. This will not hurt your credit file because its main aim is to ensure regular payments to your credit companies. Once your accounts are paid off, the companies will report your accounts to the bureaus as 'paid'. And, the program will be removed from your file. This service does not have a permanent stay in the file and does not hurt in negative terms.

Some people fall behind in their payments and are not able to pay the minimums. This program is helpful to those who are going through hard times and makes their accounts current. The credit will be viewed more favorably than before if the accounts were past due.
