I sent a fax requesting a validation letter from Certified Recovery Systems (FSM loan). They have now sent one back to me and they still won't make payment arrangements. They say I have to sent the full amount in within 10 days. I am the only working member in my family and I can't cough up $420.00 right now. Will they pursue legal actions? What should I do now?

Have you reviewed the debt validation letter properly? This document must present the details of your account accurately. If there is nothing to dispute, call them and make the payment arrangements from your side. Send a letter also to follow up the matter. The collection agency can't take any legal actions against you if they have been hired by your creditor. They will most probably send the account back to the OC mentioning the cause of their failure in collecting the debt. The creditor will have the rights to take actions if they intend to. There might be a chance of a judgment against you.

If you account is still with the OC, call them and try to get some extensions. You need to assure them regular payments so that they can offer you some benefits. If your plan is fixed, make sure that you do not hurt it. Try your best in resolving this matter and pay off the account as early as possible.
